Description of Cameron Watt

I started my sporting life swimming, before doing my first triathlon in 1992. Since then I have competed in over 100 races over the world with a career highlight including a professional win at the Ironman 70.3 distance. Throughout my time in sport, I have had great opportunities to train under some of the world's most successful coaches across a variety of disciplines. I have previously coached and held training camps for Australian Age Group triathletes in which multiple World Championship Olympic Distance, Long Course podiums and Kona slots were achieved. I have also worked with athletes towards achieving much more varied goals, such as becoming first time Ironman finishers. I'd like to draw on all lessons learnt and my experiences over two decades in multi-sport and cycling to help guide you in achieving your own personal triathlon goals.

What have you achieved in your coaching career?

In 2017: 2 x ITU Professional World Titles, 1 x ITU Professional Silver World Championship medal, 3 x Professional Regional Championship Ironman wins, 1 x Professional Regional 70.3 win. 3rd place Professional Hawaii Ironman World Championships Multiple age group and Kona qualifiers.

Why do you work with Trisutto?

In 2002 I was given the opportunity to join Brett’s (Sutton) elite squad, learning first hand his training methodology and principles. After my own racing career I put these lessons to good use in my Cycling team to great success. Having been involved in the sport of triathlon for over 23 years I have experienced all aspects from beginner/junior to professional, from sprint distance to Ironman, from athlete to coaching the full spectrum.
